When I think of the word mystery, it awakens feelings of curiosity and excitement. Mysteries are waiting to be solved, unveiled and unraveled. They awaken the adventurer inside us, who has an unquenchable instinct to venture into the unknown and forbidden. A subtle hint spurs this side of us into action; an illegible note, an old key, a faint perfume. They are the invitations to the secret balls at the courts of the unknown.

An open door is rarely exciting, but we are always fascinated by what goes on behind closed and especially locked doors. We start to fantasize and imagine what may be behind it, then we take risks and make efforts to gain entry and finally we discover the surprise behind the door. What we may find can be quite simple, yet because it has acquired an aura of mystery, it becomes magical and we value it because we worked so hard for it. Magic and mystery are the tools of the seducer. We take the base, objective and honest physical world and weave connections with the refined, subjective and deceptive emotional world to create a new magical world.

When we give darkness and space, we are offering a canvas for the imagination. Our minds have the reflex to complete partial pictures, we cannot help filling them out with our fantasies. Imagine what would happen if you were partially shrouded in mystery, and a man would be the adventurer. He sees a hint of a smile, smells a faint perfume and notices an unexplained sparkle in your eyes. He feels enticed. He sees that unlike some other women, you do not wear your heart on your sleeve nor do you offer an easy access. He realises you are not for everyone and feels brave and special as he discovers more and more about you.  He finds out that you may be off limits, and this allows him to roguishly tresspass at considerable risk. He works hard to win from you what other girls share freely, making you valuable in his eyes. This is the magical transformation of the seductress.
